2024 Key Stage 4 Results

We are delighted to celebrate our strongest ever GCSE results, especially at the 9-5 grade boundary, where we saw the highest ever percentage of students achieving a 9-5 in both English and Mathematics as well as in Mathematics generally. 

Four students achieved grade 8 and 9 across all subjects and thirteen students scored an average grade of 7 or above.

This set of results is a testament of the improvement journey at Three Rivers Academy. 

61% of students achieved grade 4+ in English and Maths

44% of students achieved grade 5+ in English and Maths

71% of students achieved grade 4 in English

66% of students achieved grade 4 in Maths

Average attainment grade: 4.3

31% of students were entered for the English Baccalaureate

2024 Key Stage 5 Results

We are very pleased with our A Level results which are in line with previous years and continue to be on an improvement trajectory. The vast majority of our students were accepted in their university of choice.

Students taking vocational courses (or a combination of both academic and vocational) also did exceptionally well with 100% achieving a Pass or better .41% of the grades awarded were at Distinction*/Distinction level.

Performance data was not published by the DfE for 2020 and 2021 as the results were teacher assessed. Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years. The DfE are also not publishing any Value Added Data for 16-18 qualifications as the GCSE grades that this would be based upon were teacher assessed in 2021.

Key Stage 4 - 22nd August 2024

Three Rivers Academy are delighted to announce another record year of GCSE results!

The proportion of students achieving grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths has increased again for the second year running and is our highest ever. Our Maths results in general were the best ever with a significant increase in students achieving the top grades including grade 9.

There are many exceptional performances to celebrate including four students who achieved predominately grades 8 and 9 across all their subjects: Kate Anderson, Grace Newlands, Faris Seed and Lucy Webb with a further another thirteen students achieving an average grade of 7 or above.

Principal, Barbara Mayaire said, ‘We are once again very pleased with this set of results and delighted for these students and their families who have been tremendously supportive of the school throughout the many challenges schools have faced over the last five years. We are of course also grateful for the tremendous dedication and hard work from all our staff who have ensured that our students have now every opportunity to flourish upon leaving Three Rivers Academy and we look forward to welcoming many of them into our successful Sixth Form.

 

 

Key Stage 5 - 15th August 2024

 

Students and staff at Three Rivers Academy Sixth Form were today celebrating another year of positive Level 3 results (A Level examinations and equivalent vocational courses).

Top performers included Prina Lal (AAA) and Mei Ling Yang (AAB). The overwhelming majority of students were successful in gaining places at the university of their choice including in some very competitive courses. Prina will be heading off to Imperial College London to study Medical Biosciences, and Isabel Young  will be going to Kings College London to Study History and International relations.  Ikenna Inwugwu (A*BC) will be moving to a degree apprenticeship Law.

Students taking vocational courses (or a combination of both academic and vocational) also did exceptionally well with 100% achieving a Pass or better 44% of the grades awarded were at Distinction*/Distinction level. Oliver Heather received D*D*D* and heads off to the University of Nottingham to study Sports Rehabilitation.
