Can you help?

Can you help maximise our students’ opportunities and expand their aspirations by providing them with work experience or becoming involved with career guidance?


We are looking for employers and businesses in every sector that can engage with our students, impart their skills and knowledge, and open their eyes to career opportunities.


There are several ways in which you can help our students – many of them taking just one hour of your time periodically (please see below).

Ways to be involved

Site Visit – let our students visit your organisation and see how it works 1-4 Hours
Interview Techniques – How can our students ‘sell themselves’ at interview to a potential employer? 20 mins - 1 hour
Traditional Work Experience – Introduce students in Years 10 &12 (14/15 & 16/17 years old) to working life within your organisation, through on site practice .

1 week

(5 days)

Remote Work Experience – Introduce students in Years 10 &12 (14/15 & 16/17 years old) to working life within your organisation, through the delivery of remote working projects. 1-5 days
Meet the employer talks – Become a speaker at one of our talks which provide a spotlight on various careers. 20 mins - 1 hour
Future Fridays – Work with small groups of students with an interest in your sector. 20 mins - 2 hours
Big Interview - Take part in our Big Interview were our students practice their interview technique. 4 Hours

Employability skills – What makes a person employable? Help our students to

become the workforce of the future through developing their attributes to potential employers.

20 mins - 1 hour
Offer Volunteering Work All Three River’s students are expected to complete volunteering hours as part of their DofE. Is your business able to offer this? N/A

Provide Apprenticeships – Could you provide an apprenticeship scheme to those students wishing to venture into the working world through this route?
